Design Director Will Earl’s design philosophy is one born from materiality and craft, combined with a rich understanding of the science and application of light.
Will began his career in furniture and product design in Milan, but an enduring fascination for how lighting can define a space by its application, ultimately led him to lighting design. Returning to the UK, Will embarked upon a career in architectural lighting.
Working at Mindseye, Will created interior lighting concepts for international commercial projects including The Royal Society of Arts and BMW brand stores in London and Paris; whilst his time at CTO Lighting saw Will create bespoke installations for London’s prestigious Chiltern Firehouse and Rosewood Hotel. As in-house product developer at Original BTC and then later at internationally renowned design brand Lee Broom.
Forming a partnership with J. Adams & Co, Will took their traditional industrial aesthetic and imbued it with a contemporary elegance. Will splits his time between the brand’s London based design studio and the Birmingham workshop and creative lab.
